Gustavo Yanes Hernández is in charge of the Tax Department and the Legal Tech Department.

He practices tax law (international and national taxation) and advises on the taxation of high net-worth individuals, corporate taxation, contentious-tax proceedings and mergers & acquisitions.

He belongs to the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), is a former member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) and is the only member in Madrid of the International Association of Tax Lawyers and Tax Consultants WIRAS. Gustavo is a university lecturer for taxation systems as part of the Business Administration degree offered by the Universidad Europea in Madrid. He holds a Professional Certificate in Legal Tech from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Esade Business & Law School.

Gustavo studied law at the UNED Madrid and the Universität zu Köln. Additionally, he obtained an LLM in European Law, specialising in Economic Law, at the Europa-Institut in Germany. He also has a Master’s in Tax Law/Taxation from the Centro de Estudios Financieros in Madrid.

He is the author of he articles on VAT and duties in the monthly newsletter “Law & Taxes” published by the German Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AHK). Read his articles here (in Spanish).
