Michael Fries is in charge of the Procedural Law Department.
He specialises in civil and commercial procedural law, and insolvency and on in- and out-of-court conflict resolution. He has long-term professional experience in matters related to insolvency, contentious proceedings, distribution, commercial agency and cross-border inheritance matters.
He is an active collaborator of prestigious legal associations, such as the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) and the Frankfurt Bar Association, the German-Hispanic Association of Jurists (AHAJ), Deutscher Anwaltsverein, Anwaltskooperation Wirtschafts- und Vertriebsrecht, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Vertriebsrecht and the Institut für Erbrecht (IfE).
He has co-authored several guides on Spanish procedural, insolvency and distribution law. Furthermore, he regularly publishes legal articles in specialised local publications and magazines, such as the articles on distribution law in the newsletter Law & Taxes of the German Chamber of Commerce in Spain. Michael studied law at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
