Monereo Meyer Abogados announces the incorporation of four new lawyers to strengthen its Real Estate, Corporate and Tax practice areas. This strategic move reflects the firm’s continued commitment to meeting the complex business interests of its clients in Spain, mostly from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Real Estate team welcomes Senior Associate Alberto Rodríguez García in Madrid, an expert in real estate and contract law. He has been counselling clients from the real estate, hotel and food industry as well as industrial clients for more than ten years. He specialises in contracting and legal advice in civil law proceedings in relation with real estate transactions, sale and purchase of goods, distribution contracts, supply and insurance contracts, as well as engineering and works contracts. Furthermore, he advises in proceedings regarding construction defects, claims to protect property, ownership and possession, as well as in rem rights and guarantees. He graduated in law from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and is a member of the Bar Association of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Apart from Spanish, Alberto speaks English and German.

The Corporate & Business Transactions team in Barcelona is growing with the addition of Mariana González Raggi, who specialises in commercial and corporate law, as well as M&A. Mariana studied law at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina and at the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja in Spain. She holds a master’s degree in international legal practice from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE). She has been a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association (Argentina) since 2016 and speaks Spanish, English and German.

The second incorporation to the Corporate & Business Transactions team joins the Madrid office. Javier Coll Sempere specializes in corporate, contract and civil law matters and is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM). He studied law at Universidad de Madrid and holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Legal Advisory from Escuela de Prácticas Jurídicas. He speaks Spanish and English.

The firm is also pleased to welcome Senior Associate Elsa Ochoa Acereda in the Tax team in Madrid. An expert in national and international taxation, she advises high-net-worth individuals and supports them with estate and their tax obligations. Experienced in international tax matters, she guides national and multinational companies as well as investment funds in their real estate transactions in Spain and counsels them on international investment structures. She studied law and politics at the Universidad CEU San Pablo and took the Master’s in Legal Practice with a postgrad as Business Expert at the same university. Furthermore, she obtained a Master’s in Tax Law and Tax Advice from the Centro de Estudios Financieros in Madrid. She speaks Spanish and English.

What the new hires have in common is an intercultural focus and a profound understanding of the peculiarities of international business – essential qualities for supporting the firm’s foreign clients, particularly from German-speaking countries, as they establish and expand their business interests in Spain.
